The Science of Nano Shield
Nano Shield technology helps reduce bacteria, odour and airborne pollutants for a cleaner indoor environment. By pairing Nano TiO2 with ambient room light, the floor’s surface activates a continuous photocatalytic cycle. Light triggers an oxidative process that breaks down organic pollutants, bacteria and allergens into harmless water and carbon dioxide.
How the surface works
- Ambient light exposure. Natural sunlight or standard indoor lighting shines onto the floorboard.
- Smart surface activation. The light energises microscopic Nano TiO2 particles embedded in the surface.
- Pollutant targeting. Light-activated surface electrons bond with household pollutants, bacteria, germs and VOCs on contact.
